Alternative Design Capital (ADC) 2012 is a parallel independent, and yes, alternative project to the more official World Design Capital Helsinki 2012. The idea is to boost concrete activities and involvement. So far, the project includes guerilla gardening, creative studio networking, collaborative “uncut” twitter commentaries, utopia research, micro-historical urban documentation, a 3D printing competition, trash hacking, anti-design and conceptual money alternatives. Pretty creative, huh?
